This was the final and most ambitious installation in our “Living with…” series. We focused on invisible disabilities. “And We Are Young Again…” explored the reality of dementia through performance and multimedia art.
We built the piece using real interviews and medical research. We also reimagined Shakespeare to reflect the fragmented nature of memory.
WordForWord collaborated with Shakespeare Switched, Patchwork Opera, Minerva Cumbria, Amy’s Care, and Cumbria County Council. Together, we achieved a bold look at the lives of those living with this condition. It forced the audience to confront the human side of a clinical diagnosis.
